Azerbaijan closed the Goris-Stepanakert highway; The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh reports that the new Tegh-Kornidzor dirt road is passable

"The Azerbaijani armed forces closed the Goris-Stepanakert highway between Aghavno and Tegh villages tonight," the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs informed.

"The new dirt highway Tegh-Kornidzor of Syunik marz bypassing the closed road is already ready, which connects to the new Kornidzor-Hin shen road put into operation in August 2022 ("Berdzor (Lachin) Corridor"). Asphalting works on the Tegh-Kornidzor road is in progress by the Republic of Armenia.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that the Tegh-Kornidzor dirt road is passable. Considering the ongoing blockade of Artsakh, it is possible to carry humanitarian supplies to Artsakh Russian peacekeepers and the International Committee of the Red Cross. That road, on the border of the Republic of Artsakh, near the Hakar river bridge, is controlled by Russian peacekeeping troops.

Starting from December 12, 2022, the Azerbaijani side closed the Shushi section of the interstate highway connecting Artsakh to Armenia. And for 108 days, the population of Artsakh has been deprived of contact with the outside world."
