"The decision of the court is an indisputable legal basis that the people of Artsakh cannot live within Azerbaijan," Araik Harutyunyan

Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page:

"The International Court of Justice of the United Nations recently satisfied Armenia's demand and obliged Azerbaijan not to obstruct the free movement of goods, people, and transport through the Lachin Corridor in both directions. Another decision rejected Azerbaijan's groundless claim regarding mines.

On behalf of the authorities and the people of Artsakh, I would like to express special thanks to Yeghishe Kirakosyan, the representative of the Republic of Armenia for International Legal Affairs, and all the persons involved in this proceeding from the Armenian side, for their most important mission.

This decision is another fundamental international legal basis that the people of Artsakh, who are subjected to racial discrimination and hatred, cannot live in Azerbaijan.

I consider this an essential milestone in our international struggle. Together with the Republic of Armenia; we will continue to use all international legal mechanisms as much as possible to protect the rights of the people of Artsakh. The state bodies of Artsakh have my explicit instruction to support these efforts to the maximum extent."
