"We call to finally abandon the idea of depopulating Artsakh." Araik Harutyunyan

For the fifth day already, Azerbaijan is keeping the 120,000 people of Artsakh under siege with an "emotional" and attention-grabbing agenda seasoned with fake environmental topics, thus putting Artsakh Armenians in front of a humanitarian disaster. But as we can see, the people of Artsakh did not kneel and, with dignity, overcomes today's processes, which are incompatible with the 21st century and almost unimaginable for a civilized person, and the difficulties, sufferings, and humanitarian consequences arising from them. This was stated in the statement of Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan.

"On this occasion, I declare on behalf of the people of the Republic of Artsakh:

• The people of Artsakh are supporters and advocates of peace, stability, and neighborly relations of peoples in the region.

• The people of Artsakh are open to any question, problem discussion, and free dialogue and are willing to build and expect constructive relations based on mutual rights and respect.

• We consider the use of coercion, enforcement, demonstration, and use of force as unacceptable, and we call for the final rejection of the idea of depopulating Artsakh, which was the reason for the initiation of the Artsakh liberation struggle and is an integral part of Azerbaijan's state policy. Only then will the will to achieve peace be appreciated and peace sincere, honest, and tangible.

• The people of Artsakh have adopted a decision to resist the encroachment against their rights and to bear the physical deprivation inflicted on us with dignity, thereby neutralizing all possible attempts to impose concessions on Mother Armenia, the conditions constraining the decision-making.

• We express our gratitude to the Republic of Armenia and our compatriots in the diaspora, who are speaking out and informing the international community about the crime committed against the citizens of the Republic of Artsakh these days, initiating legal processes, simply encouraging and tightening the belts of the people of Artsakh.

• We thank the Russian peacekeepers for remaining true to their mission. For days, the peacekeepers have been standing by the people of Artsakh with a firm and unwavering attitude, without paying tribute to provocations, demonstrative insults, and contemptuous attitudes.

We highly appreciate the conscious steps taken by the peacekeepers to alleviate the humanitarian problems of our people; we will continue our struggle and will never be a tool to put pressure on the Russian Federation or damage its reputation because we are sure that the Russian Federation can solve the problems diplomatically and through dialogue. Irrevocable will," the statement said.
