"I think it is an important event in the internal political life of Artsakh," Aram Harutyunyan, deputy of the "Free Motherland CDU" faction of the Nagorno-Karabakh National Assembly, expressed his opinion in a conversation with Radar Armenia, referring to the recommendation of President Arayik Harutyunyan to appoint Ruben Vardanyan as Minister of State.
According to the MP from Artsakh, there are positive signals not related to the appointment proposal but, generally, to Ruben Vardanyan's move to Artsakh.
Harutyunyan hopes this decision will be contagious to other Armenians who have various achievements in the world. "I hope that Ruben Vardanyan will accept the president's proposal. Public sentiments are also positive. There is an expectation that Vardanyan will accept that offer," says the deputy.
To the question: do you think it is likely that Ruben Vardanyan can take over the position of the president of Artsakh shortly? Harutyunyan said that the country has an elected president, and such a question is not on the agenda.
We tried to find out from Aram Harutyunyan what position the current state minister Artak Beglaryan will be appointed to. "Beglaryan is an accomplished staff member, and the president said in his speech that this proposal does not mean he is dissatisfied with Artak Beglaryan. I think Beglaryan still has a lot to do and will find his place," said Aram Harutyunyan.
It should be noted that yesterday, the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, informed us that Ruben Vardanyan, a Russian-Armenian businessman who moved to Artsakh, was offered to assume the position of Minister of State.
