On May 28, 2022, as a result of the large-scale trial and investigative work carried out within the framework of the preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated in the case of state treason in the department of significant issues of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Artsakh, it was found that A.H., born in 1977, a citizen of the Republic of Artsakh, of the social website Facebook on the Internet establishing contact with the representative of the intelligence service of the Republic of Azerbaijan through 2021 and 2022, at their invitation and with financial means, he traveled to different cities abroad and having meetings with the user who contacted him and the latter's superior, reached an agreement with the offer of a specific monthly salary for an "iPhone" presented by them 11" model mobile phone and a unique program installed in it to transmit the information required by them to the intelligence services of the Republic of Azerbaijan. After that, before he was revealed, he provided the representative of the intelligence service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who contacted him in exchange for expensive gifts and a corresponding monthly salary.

With the combination of sufficient evidence, a decision was made to involve A.H. as an accused and charge him with the 1st part of Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Artsakh: high treason, espionage, handing over information containing state secrets to the representatives of a foreign state, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Artsakh. Or for using it to the detriment of external security for a publicly dangerous act.

The petition of the body implementing the proceedings to choose detention as a measure of restraint was satisfied by the court of the first instance of general jurisdiction of the Republic of Artsakh.

On September 9, 2022, the preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the subject of state treason in the Especially Important Cases Investigation Department of the State Investigation Committee was completed. The criminal case was sent to the supervising prosecutor to confirm the indictment.
