The Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh about the cases of arson of residential houses in Aghavno and Berdzor communities

The Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh stated the arson cases of residential houses in the Aghavno and Berdzor communities.

"Based on the answer to the inquiry made to the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Artsakh with a completely different context, various media have spread information that in August of this year, the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh initiated a criminal procedure regarding the cases of arson of residential houses in Aghavno and Berdzor communities of Kashatagh region. In connection with the published information, comments and statements of different nature and origin immediately began to be presented, in response to which we report the following.

Regarding the alleged criminal acts that took place in the territory of the Republic of Artsakh, the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Artsakh are obliged to ensure a uniform approach and to carry out criminal proceedings in the presence of the occasions and grounds defined by the law, which implies an investigation of the circumstances of the case and the adoption of an appropriate judicial decision (the study of the case and its consequences may take place exclusively by the procedure established by the criminal procedure legislation of the Republic of Artsakh). The same approach was also shown in the discussed cases, in which the necessary judicial checks were carried out with the prepared materials. Shortly, judicial decisions concluding the stage of criminal case initiation will be adopted.

The fictitious interpretations of the phenomenon and the statements made in connection with it are simple nonsense, "dirty" attempts to present themselves as patriots, assert themselves, and make accusations against law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Artsakh reported that a house was set on fire in Artsakh, causing damage of around 6 million drams.
