4 women died on the spot after the collision between the cars of the driver of the Russian peacekeeping troops and the resident of Sarushen
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a press release, which says:
"On August 12, at 08:50, the operational control center of the traffic police received a report that a traffic accident occurred on the road section in front of 19/1 Melikavan street.
The operative group of the Police and State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigative group of the Investigative Committee immediately went to the scene of the incident.
It was found out that on the same day at around 08:45 at the intersection in front of the house 19/1 Melikavan Street, a "HAVAL H9" driven by the driver of the Russian peacekeeping troops I.Y. (born in 1992) and a resident of Sarushen community of Askerani region collided with each other. "VAZ-2107" cars driven by EG (born in 1996).
As a result of the accident, the driver of "VAZ-2107" was taken to the "Republican Medical Center" with fractures and a diagnosis of laceration of the lower lobe of the right lung.
Passengers of the latter, H. G. (born in 1971, Sarushen, Askerani region), N.D. (born in 1970, Aygestan, Askerani region), L. M. (born in 1972, Askeran region, Aygestan) and S. S. (born in 1966, Askeran region, Aygestan) died on the spot."
