- What did the statements by several European countries about the recognition of Palestine mean, and why did they take that step?
- I think their goal is to prepare the ground for the post-Hamas negotiation process. The formula for this ground is two states. Israel is being pressured in this way.
- Will other countries follow this example and recognize Palestine?
- Definitely. This is an international trend. The list of recognized states will be expanded.
- What will happen to Hamas, because, after all, they are militarized?
- There is a consensus to marginalize Hamas. It is not an easy process. The upheavals will continue. The neutralization of Hamas is a condition for a ceasefire and negotiation process.
- Is an escalation of military operations possible?
- Israel has already escalated the situation. The actions seem to be crossing the threshold of the final stage. Everyone has agreed to the demilitarization of Gaza.
- How would you comment on the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister that there will be no Palestinian state? What consequences could this have?
- This is a message addressed to both the internal audience and the external one. The Prime Minister realizes that the "two-state" formula has been internationalized. He is trying to maintain complete control over the territories inhabited by Palestinians and the region to be obtained.
