Radar Armenia's interlocutor is Hakob Aslanyan, an independent MP.
- The inaugural congress of the United National Constitutional Party, founded by you and Hovik Aghazaryan, will occur on February 8. What is the party's goal and vision?
- The party's vision is to continue fundamental revolutionary ideas and advance them.
- Is there a change of government on the party's agenda?
-Time will tell. We still have to hold elections, and we must prepare for them. Then, much will become apparent in time and space.
-Do you have a goal of participating in the 2026 parliamentary elections or, if the government goes to an extraordinary election, participating in an extraordinary election?
Absolutely. We are preparing quickly. If there is an extraordinary election or a regular one in 2026, we will submit a serious application.
- Can you tell me how many supporters the party has now? There are reports that you are meeting with different political forces.
- We are going separately. We have not issued invitations. As of now, on February 8, at least 300 supporters will participate in the founding congress, where all the provisions of the charter and program will be decided. We will discuss how the governing bodies will be elected and determine the fundamental principles.
-Consider the ruling KP party your opponent in the upcoming elections.
- If we are not in KP today and are taking our direction, then yes.
- How do you assess the situation? Will you be able to overcome the threshold in the elections? What kind of public support is there at the moment?
- It is a matter of time and space. Time and the situation will show. Today, we are doing what we think is right. While we do not agree with KP's policy to some extent, we are trying to advance our own rights.
- Can you clearly say which policy of the KP you disagree with, foreign or domestic?
- In general. There are issues in foreign policy; there are issues in domestic policy. Naturally, the contradictions have led to the fact that we are not going the same way now.
