"Baku wants a "corridor" and raises the ceiling of demands for that." Gantaharyan

Radar Armenia's interlocutor is Shahan Gantaharyan, an international scholar.

- Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, referring to the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, expressed hope that a peace agreement will be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan and peace will prevail. Considering also the Mirzoyan-Bayramov meeting in Washington with the participation of Blinken, are the parties close to signing a peace agreement? In your opinion, why is Azerbaijan artificially delaying the process?

It is not the first time such optimistic forecasts have been heard from Baku or the USA. Of course, it is not news that Baku continues to torpedo the peace process. Baku's representatives constantly renew the preconditions. I think Baku is working on its most important priority. It wants to get the "corridor," so it raises the ceiling of demands. The problem of enclaves will follow, and so on.

- Moscow is concerned that, with Yerevan's approval, the EU mission may become a permanent mission, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told "RIA Novosti." How do you interpret Moscow's statements?

Naturally, Moscow is worried about the EU's regional activity. The permanent mission means an indefinite European presence, which will interfere with Moscow's interests. It also means direct supervision of the EU integration process on the ground and certain management of the process by Brussels.

- At the NATO summit in Washington, it was decided to provide military aid to Ukraine for 40 billion euros within one year. We also witnessed that the Russian side carried out several strikes on Monday, also targeting the children's hospital. What developments should be expected in the Russian-Ukrainian war?

- Such assistance indicates the duration of the war. This tug-of-war, neither losing nor winning, will continue, which implies that Moscow will still be involved in the Ukrainian war. The geopolitics of neutralizing the Russian factor from the Russian domains will depend on the continuation of the war.

- Former US House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi and Hollywood star George Clooney criticized Biden. Given his continued failures, will he garner enough votes to continue as president?

The votes given to Biden are not so much due to those who want Biden's success as Trump's election is due to the impulse of those who fail. Biden makes a lot of mistakes. If he is elected, it will be proven that the American electorate does not unconditionally agree with the administration policy led by Biden but fundamentally and radically opposes the US led by Trump, leading the country towards an uncertain destiny. An apparent mass does not want to enter the Trumpian shock period.
