Interview

"The movement's only hope is civil conflict, bloodshed." Atanesyan

Radar Armenia's interlocutor is Vahram Atanesyan, a former member of the Central Committee of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh National Assembly.

- In your opinion, what is the goal of the leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, considering the constitutional ban on his becoming prime minister?

- The movement pursues one goal: to prevent Armenia from regulating relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan.

- There was talk of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister, supported by the parliamentary opposition factions. In your opinion, what did Archbishop Bagrat hope for if the deputies of the CP faction declared that they had nothing to talk to him about?

The movement's only hope is civil conflict and bloodshed. The CSTO has the possibility of direct intervention in such cases. In a situation of confrontation, the "transitional prime minister" can turn to the CSTO and ask for help to seize power through foreign military intervention. He has no other option.

- As a matter of fact, the rostrum speaks exclusively about the change of power, but many questions remain unanswered. In your opinion, if there is a new government in Armenia, will it be able to change Azerbaijan's policy and stop the demarcation process until Azerbaijan withdraws its troops from the sovereign territories of Armenia?

The movement's goal is not to preserve and strengthen Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It is a collaborationist project whose goal is to establish complete Russian control in the South Caucasus under the condition of Ilham Aliyev's "viceroyalty."

- President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced that they are following the latest events in Armenia. In your opinion, can internal political developments in Armenia cause new tensions on the border?

- That movement is an exceptional gift to Ilham Aliyev in all respects. And he, naturally, strives for a generation. Nothing unusual here.
