US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to create a strategic national reserve of Bitcoin.
Billionaire David Sachs, the White House's cryptocurrency chief, posted details about the decision on the social network X (formerly Twitter). According to him, the reserve will be formed from bitcoins belonging to the federal government that have been seized in criminal or civil court cases.
The move aims to strengthen the US's position in the global cryptocurrency market.
