Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker of the Portuguese national team, has set a European Championship record for the number of matches played in a row.
Ronaldo appeared in his team's starting line-up for the match against Turkey in the second round of the Euro-2024 group stage. This match was his 19th in a row within the framework of the European Championship. The previous record belonged to Leonardo Bonucci, the defender of the Italian national team.
The Portuguese striker also holds another European Championship record: he is the only player in history to have played in six European Championships.
