The long-awaited 007 First Light game has been pushed back to May 27, 2026, from its March release date. It will be the first James Bond game since 2012.
Developer IO Interactive says the game is fully developed but needs more time to “fine-tune” it. The game follows a reimagined Bond story: 26-year-old James Bond joins MI6 and becomes “00.” The title is played by actor Patrick Gibson, with the villain played by musician Lenny Kravitz.
The trailers are reminiscent of Hitman, with Bond-specific gadgets and cinematic cutscenes. Despite criticism from some fans over technical details, the developers have called the game their most ambitious project yet and are confident it will succeed.
