Disney built Kevin's house out of gingerbread: new Guinness record (PHOTOS)

To mark the 35th anniversary of the hit film Home Alone, Disney has built one of the most iconic homes in film history, Kevin McCallister's house, in Los Angeles. The structure is covered in icing sugar and is officially listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest gingerbread house.

The house is 8 meters high and 18 meters long. It was built on Disney+'s initiative as a symbol of the holiday and to emphasize the film's historical significance.

The gingerbread house was built using:

  • 2.59 tons of flour,
  • more than 4,200 eggs,
  • 4,400 gingerbread bricks,
  • 800 roofing tiles,
  • more than 75 liters of edible glue,
  • about 9 kg of confectionery mastic.

Fans of the New Year's film can visit the house and taste the "A Lovely Cheese Pizza" featured in the film, prepared by Prince St. Pizza.
