16-year-old Jared Lepora, with his father's help, spent 2 years creating a functional hand out of Lego. The hand can pick up various objects, from fruit to glasses, etc. Two motors power it, and it has four fingers, each with three joints. Thanks to Lego's mechanics, the fingers move until they reach the object, then stop, like a human hand.
Jared's goal is for this hand to become a genuine Lego set for children in the future, thereby encouraging innovation.
