The size of the latest solar eruption is 80 times the diameter of the Earth

On the night of November 20, a massive eruption from the Sun was observed, about 80 times the diameter of the Earth.

According to scientists, the source of the processes that led to the formation of this enormous structure is located on the opposite side of the Sun and is currently inaccessible for observation. Three days earlier, a large mass of plasma had already been released from the same region.

"It is not excluded that both phenomena - the previous plasma release and today's huge eruption - have a common origin and are associated with the same center of activity," the scientists noted.
