Three rare Bronze and Iron Age log boats, buried under mud in Cambridgeshire for more than 3,000 years, have been unveiled to the public for the first time. They were discovered 13 years ago at the Must Farm archaeological site, in an old, now-filled riverbed. It is the most significant discovery of prehistoric ships ever found in one place in the UK.
The boats are remarkably well-preserved, allowing archaeologists to determine the type of wood they were made from, how the wood was cut and worked, and the tools used.
