We have unleashed a monster: mobile phones and social networks are stealing childhood

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has announced a ban on the use of social networks for those under the age of 15. According to her, mobile phones and social platforms are stealing children's childhood.

According to Frederiksen, about 60% of boys aged 11-19 in Denmark do not meet with friends in their free time, and 94% of seventh-grade students already have an account on social networks by the age of 13.

Recall that since February of this year, Denmark has already banned the use of mobile phones in schools.

Similar restrictions are being discussed in several countries worldwide. In June, Greece proposed to the European Union that a "digital maturity age" be established, by which children would not be able to register on social networks without parental consent.
