I don't recognize my country anymore. Angelina Jolie

Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie has announced that she no longer recognizes America due to growing threats to freedom of expression. "Anything that divides or restricts personal expression and freedom, I think, is hazardous," she said.

The statement was made at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, where a reporter asked her what she was afraid of. "This is a tough question. I love my country, but at the moment I don't recognize it. My life has always been international – my family, my friends, my worldview. Anything that divides or restricts people's freedom is dangerous. We live in challenging times today."

Her words came after ABC and Disney indefinitely suspended the Jimmy Kimmel show, which drew widespread criticism from Hollywood stars. Many Disney celebrities and other stars, including Pedro Pascal, Olivia Rodrigo, and Mark Ruffalo, have come out in support of Kimmel's right to free speech.

Mark Ruffalo said that if Disney cancels the show, its stock will plummet. "Disney doesn't want to be the company that broke America's backbone." Tatiana Maslany urged her followers to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions.
