The 30th anniversary of the Gentleman Award, traditionally dedicated to fair play and sportsmanship, was held at the historic Scuola Militare Teuliè in Milan. This year, the spotlight was on Inter, whose representatives received numerous awards.
Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan also received a special spotlight, having been awarded the Gentleman Inter award.
“I am happy, flattered, and I want to thank everyone who voted for me. This reflects who I am. I don’t try to be that way; I show myself that way. Maybe it comes from my character, but let others say that,” said Mkhitaryan.
The club’s president and CEO, Giuseppe Marotta, received the new Gentleman Executive award for his contributions over the past three decades. Lautaro Martinez has been named Gentleman Serie A for the second year in a row. Carlos Augusto won the Young Breakthrough award.
