Doctors have created a stethoscope powered by artificial intelligence

Doctors have developed a new stethoscope powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that can detect three major heart problems in just 15 seconds: heart failure, heart valve disease, and arrhythmia. The traditional stethoscope, created in 1816, has been an integral part of a doctor’s toolbox for more than two centuries. But now a research team from Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has created a high-tech version that can identify heart problems almost instantly by analyzing the most minor changes in heart rate and blood flow (which are impossible to hear with the ear) while performing a rapid ECG.
