Archaeologists have discovered a 3,600-year-old tomb in the sacred city of Abydos, Egypt, that could completely change our understanding of the forgotten era of the pharaohs. The tomb, which was buried 7 meters deep under the sacred mountain of Osiris, contains a giant sarcophagus, artistic illustrations, and mysterious symbols. But most interestingly, the king’s name has been erased, and there is no trace of the skeleton at all.
Archaeologists suggest that this could belong to one of the forgotten rulers named Senaib or Paenjin, but it is also possible that we are facing a completely unknown pharaoh. The discovery sheds new light on the Abydos dynasty, which was long forgotten. The secret rulers ruled Upper Egypt from 1640 to 1540 BC, but their names were not mentioned in official books.
