Paolo’s Circus in Newquay, UK, has been joined by an unusual performer – a robotic lion named Ion. Not only does it look attractive with its soft hair and lion’s head, but it can also perform dangerous and impressive tricks. According to the circus’s director, Kenneth Darnell, the creation of the robot took almost a year. “It’s tough to present something in the circus today that people haven’t seen before. And a robotic lion is new to everyone,” he told the BBC.
