On August 9, 2025, after a five-month space mission, the SpaceX Crew Dragon Endurance spacecraft made a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego. The Crew-10 mission launched on March 14 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and just 29 hours later, the Dragon spacecraft docked with the Harmony module of the International Space Station.
After five months of operation, they had traveled approximately 62.8 million miles and completed 2,368 orbits of the Earth. It was Ayers and Peskov’s first spaceflight, while McClain and Onishi were in their second time in space.
During the mission, the crew conducted dozens of scientific experiments, studying the growth of plants and microalgae, the effects of cosmic rays on DNA, as well as the effects of microgravity on the human eye and cells.
