Tom Cruise sets Guinness World Record

Famous Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records. He has been registered as the first to make the most jumps with a burning parachute in a single film series. The current record is 16 parachute jumps, made during the 2025 film "Mission: Impossible – Fallout."

These record-breaking jumps were made under real-world conditions without any retakes. According to the official Guinness website, Cruise jumped out of a helicopter 16 times while attached to a burning, fuel-soaked parachute. He successfully freed himself from the burning parachute during each jump and activated the reserve one, landing safely.

Cruise wore a 25-kg camera attached to his body during the filming, showing footage directly from the first person. Director Christopher McQuarrie said that the actor's personal involvement and physical training were key to successfully executing these scenes.

Cruise was already known for another Guinness World Record, the only actor whose eight consecutive films exceeded $ 100 million in revenue. These include "Jack Reacher" (2012) and the most recent "Mission: Impossible".

"Mission: Impossible—Fallout" premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival and is already in theaters. Cruise also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, Angela Bassett, and others in the film.
