Prince Harry has said he wants to reconcile with the British royal family but still sees no chance of returning to his homeland. He said this in an interview with the BBC. Harry has been living in the United States since 2020.
"Some of my family will never forgive me for writing the [autobiographical] book; they will never forgive me for many other things. But I would very much like to reconcile with my family. I don't see the point in continuing the conflict because life is a precious gift," Prince Harry said.
A British court rejected the prince's appeal, which he had been trying for five years to obtain full-time insurance for himself, his wife, and his children at the expense of UK state funds. After Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle, renounced their positions as senior members of the British royal family in 2020, they lost this right. The prince has said he will unlikely return to the UK unless he and his family have armed security.
"I don't see any way to bring my wife and children to the UK. They won't be able to see anything. I love my country and always have, despite what some people there have done to us," he said, admitting he misses home.
