On the eve of March 8, at the Rostec Amber Plant, a unique stone was discovered during manual sorting. It is heart-shaped and is 40-50 million years old. Such combinations are extremely rare in sunstone: their share in the total extraction volume does not even reach 1%.
“The resulting combination can be called a surprise, a joke of nature. What kind of turbulent processes led to such a strange combination? We will most likely never know. One thing is certain: the entire formation process took place in a liquid, solidified state 40-50 million years ago,” the company reported.
The weight of the stone is only 19.42 grams, and its dimensions are 4 x 3 cm.
