Warner Bros. to host Harry Potter making-of tour

Warner Bros., the American entertainment company, is preparing to hold a "Making of Harry Potter" pavilion tour in Shanghai in 2027.

China's largest tourism and hotel company, Jin Jiang International Holdings, has confirmed signing a joint venture agreement with Warner Bros. The joint venture will be created at the Jinjiang Amusement Park in Shanghai, the first in China and the third globally.

The project is still in the approval phase. It is planned to cover an area of about 5.3 hectares, including both indoor and outdoor areas. The tour will last about half a day, allowing fans to familiarize themselves with the iconic "Harry Potter" scenes and see the original costumes used in the films.

The "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" section of Universal Studios in Beijing has become one of the park's most popular attractions. Last year, 8 Harry Potter films were also shown in Chinese cinemas.

"The upcoming 'The Making of Harry Potter' pavilion tour in Shanghai will attract not only Chinese fans but also tourists from other Asian countries, which will contribute to the further development of inbound tourism," said Lin Huanjie, director of the China Institute of Theme Park Studies.
