Stephen King, an American writer of horror and science fiction, opposed the holding of the "Oscar" award ceremony.
On his Bluesky social media page, King said she would not be voting for the nominees and believed the glamor show was inappropriate amid the fires raging in Los Angeles.
"I will not vote at this year's Oscar ceremony. They should cancel it. No glamor while Los Angeles is on fire," King wrote.
The organizers of "Oscar" have not yet announced a possible cancellation of the ceremony, but discussions about the expediency of holding it during large-scale natural disasters continue.
