A draft of a Bob Dylan song sold for half a million dollars

Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" was sold at auction over the weekend for more than half a million dollars, and dozens of items related to the American songwriter were also sold.

About 60 items belonging to Dylan, including photos, sheet music, guitar, pencil drawings, and an oil painting by the Nobel laureate, were sold Saturday at Julien's Auctions in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to the auction house, the sale of the items brought in about $1.5 million through in-person and online trades. Julien said the late musician accepted 50 items, including the song lyrics that fetched the highest price for the sale, from the personal collection of journalist Al Aronowitz.
