Slovenia has threatened to withdraw from the song contest if Israel is not expelled from the contest based on attacks on Gaza.
According to Israeli media, Slovenia has officially requested the European Broadcasting Union.
If the request is rejected, Slovenia will consider withdrawing from the competition as a form of protest.
In his December 19 statement, Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar emphasized that Israel and Russia violated the UN Charter with their attacks in Gaza and Ukraine, respectively. She added that Israel's actions have reached a more massive level.
