American actor Ron Ely, known for his role as Tarzan in the 1960s series of the same name, died at 86.
His daughter and actress Kristen Casale Ely announced the loss.
"The world lost one of the greatest men that ever lived, and I lost my dad. To me, he was an actor, a writer, a coach, a mentor, and a leader. Dad has created a powerful wave of positive influence wherever he goes. The impact he had on others is something I have never seen in any other person. There was something magical about him," he wrote on his Instagram and published archival family photos.
