Meta lost $18 billion due to the global outage of Facebook and Instagram

Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger suffered a global outage yesterday, preventing users from accessing their accounts, sending or receiving messages, or seeing recent posts.
Parent company Meta, led by Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, lost 1.5% of its market value as shares fell sharply. Some of the 3.98 billion users worldwide were unable to access their accounts. The damage caused by the failure was estimated at $18 billion. According to financial platforms, Mark Zuckerberg's wealth has decreased by 3 billion dollars.
