Warner Bros. and Paramount have suspended merger talks

Regarding its sources, CNBC reported that film and media industry giants Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Global have ended talks of a possible merger. Earlier, Axios reported that, due to a possible merger, Paramount Global-owned CBS News could merge with Warner Bros. CNN TV channel. Based on them, a world news center was planned.

CNBC sources say Skydance Media, owned by American producer David Ellison, is still interested in buying Paramount. Comcast Corp., the media company, is not interested in buying Paramount's assets but is considering a commercial partnership, such as a merger between Peacock and Paramount+ streaming services.
