The founder and head of the Bet365 betting company, Dans Coates, received a salary of about 281 million dollars in the last financial year. His base salary increased by about $10 million from last year despite Bet365 losing about $77 million.
The company's reports explain the losses as a "significant increase in costs associated with entering new markets."
