Warner Bros. and Paramount movie studios could unite against Netflix

According to CNN, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav met with Paramount CEO Bob Bakish on Tuesday. They discussed a possible merger of the two companies.
A possible merger between the two giants would create an entertainment and news giant that includes Warner Bros. and Paramount, as well as CBS, CNN and other cable TV assets. The trend of rapid consolidation in the media industry has intensified as once-mighty studios rethink their revenue strategies to compete with Netflix in the streaming era.
