Michael Gyurjian's film "American," with which "Golden Apricot-2022" was launched, is already on the big screens.
The movie "American" tells the story of Charlie, a young Armenian who miraculously survived the Genocide and immigrated to the United States, whose family, unfortunately, fell victim to that crime.
The story begins in 1947 when Charlie returns to Armenia and faces the harsh reality of Soviet Communism.
In Armenia, Charlie is immediately arrested and sentenced to prison.
Narine Grigoryan, Jean-Pierre Nshanyan, Aram Karakhanyan, Davit Hakobyan, Lernik Harutyunyan, Mikhail Trukhin, Nelly Uvarova, and others were filmed in the film.
