During the replacement of gas pipelines in the Lernahovit community of the Lori region, an exceptional sculptural monument with a Christian theme was discovered. The builders informed the community police, and the latter, in turn, told the “Service for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Reserves-Museums and Historical Environment” SNCO.
Regional employees of the Preservation Service were sent to Lernahovit to study and clarify the details. The monument with a Christian theme, most likely, dates back to the early Middle Ages. The biblical scene gives the monument a special appeal and emphasizes its exclusivity.
In addition to one almost complete monument, separate pieces were also found. According to residents, this is not the first case; fragments of pottery have been found in different parts of the village before. Representatives of the older generation claim that there was a temple in the area.
