Mesrop Mashtots Street opened in the capital of Kazakhstan

The opening ceremony of the street named after Mesrop Mashtots was held today in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin, Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, and other officials.

Welcoming those present, Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan noted that a significant page is being opened in the history of mutual respect, friendship, and cultural cooperation between the two peoples. "Mesrop Mashtots is not only one of the pillars of the spiritual and cultural identity of the Armenian people, but also one of the most important devotees of human civilization. The legacy he left us has passed on to us from the depths of centuries, the bridge of education, culture, and historical memory."
