Kapan has been recognized as the Youth Capital of 2026

By the decision of the CIS Heads of State Council meeting, Kapan in the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia has been recognized as the Youth Capital of 2026.

In accordance with the procedure of the “CIS Youth Capital” international program, large-scale programs are planned to be implemented in Kapan in 2026. In particular:

Opening of the “CIS Youth Capital” program,

CIS Youth Forum,

CIS youth camps, trainings, round tables,

Presentation of the opportunities of the city of Kapan in programs aimed at young people,

Meeting of the CIS Youth Issues Council,

Closing of the CIS Youth Capital program.

The Ministry has decided to combine the financial and human resources intended for the “CIS Youth Capital 2026” program and the 2026 Youth Capital of Armenia program, significantly increasing the effectiveness of efforts to raise Kapan's visibility as the CIS Youth Capital in local, republican, and regional terms.
