Manushyan Week to be held in Armenia

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism informs that from March 14 to 18, the "Manushyan Week" event dedicated to Misak Manushyan and her comrades-in-arms of the French Resistance movement will be held in Yerevan and Artashat.

The goal is to redefine Manushyan's legacy, emphasize her role in the global resistance movement, and promote French and Armenian historical and cultural dialogue.

The events include theatrical performances, conferences, exhibitions, documentary film screenings, and discussions. In particular, the presentations of the book "Misak Manushyan: Through the Eyes of an Eyewitness" and the play "Manushyan….." will take place, as will the premiere of Shoshana Bukhobza's play "Manushyan," the screening of Katya Giragosyan's documentary "Misak and Meline", etc. (The program is attached).

It should be noted that all films will be shown with Armenian subtitles. The speeches of the French speakers will have simultaneous translation. Admission to the events will be free for the public.

The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Municipality of Yerevan, the European Union's Representative in Armenia, the French Auvergne Rhône Alpes region, and the Municipality of Lyon, by the "SATÉ —ATHÉ" Theater Union and the "ART—IMAGE" Cultural Organization.

The project is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of France in the Republic of Armenia and the French Institute of Armenia, as well as the companies "Arleam and Arleam Aero" and "Carrefour." The partners are E. Charents State Museum of Literature and Art, Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, "Matenadaran" M. Mashtots Scientific Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Foundation, Union of Cinematographers of Armenia, Artashat State Drama Theater named after Amo Kharazyan, Pantheon of France, "Roger Violet" Gallery, French University in Armenia, "Alef" Publishing House.
