Anna Hakobyan toured the "Qatara" cultural village (VIDEO)

Today, Anna Hakobyan, the wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the Executive Director of the “My Step” Foundation, together with the Armenian delegation, toured the “Katara Cultural Village” in the capital of Qatar, Doha, to get acquainted with the educational, cultural, research and social programs of the foundation. Mrs. Hakobyan was accompanied by representatives of the foundation’s management staff, led by Director General Khalid Al Sulaiti, who presented the main activities of various departments, the “My Step” Foundation reported.

“During the tour, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Qatar Traditional Sailing Ships Museum, which is considered one of the most important exhibitions of the foundation’s visual arts center. The visit also presented the opera house inspired by modern and traditional Islamic design, the drama theater, the classical Greek-style amphitheater with an area of 3,275 square meters, and the Al Thuraya Planetarium with a complete domed digital system. The corners dedicated to different countries, which emphasize diversity and the importance of international cultural dialogue, deserved special attention.

This critical meeting and tour are another step towards deepening the cooperation between the “My Step” charitable foundation and the “Qatara” cultural foundation. New joint initiatives are planned shortly to contribute to developing the cultural and social spheres.

The partnership between the “My Step” Foundation and the “Qatara” cultural foundation began back in May of last year, when the deputy director of the foundation, Talin Topalakyan, visited Doha and toured the “Qatara” cultural village. Since that meeting, several important programs have been initiated and implemented, which have strengthened Armenian-Qatari cultural and social ties,” the statement said.
