The Great Egyptian Museum was opened in Cairo (PHOTOS)

The Great Egyptian Museum was opened in Cairo. Some of the galleries are not yet accessible to tourists.

The number of daily visits is limited to a maximum of 4,000 people.

The large-scale museum took more than ten years to build. About 64,000 exhibits were collected from all over the country, and many rare items were brought from the warehouses of museums in Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.

The transfer of Tutankhamun's gold collection is also planned.

The experimental museum will operate from October 16 until its official opening, which has not yet been definite.

The ticket costs 1.7 thousand pounds ($35) for foreign visitors, half for children and students.
