Leo Mkrtchyan will represent Armenia in the "Junior Eurovision 2024" song contest, First Channel reports.

Armenia's delegate this year was selected from the competition announced by the Public Television Company, which received more than 100 applications. The expert group, consisting of the best local and international specialists, decided that 10-year-old Leo was the best.

She grew up in a family of singers and started singing along with talking when she was eight months old. Leo's big dream was to participate in "Junior Eurovision."

"I love my country and the world of music very much. Representing Armenia on the international stage with a song is a pleasure for me, but at the same time, a huge responsibility. I believe in my dreams. I am sure that if we are all born human, then we have equal powers to conquer the world," says Leo.

The competition song and video of the Armenian delegate will be published soon. This year, the "Junior Eurovision 2024" song contest will be held in Madrid, the capital of Spain, on November 16, under the title "Let's Bloom".

The expert group of the Armenian contest included singer Iveta Mukuchyan, musician showman Garik Papoyan, director Aramais Hayrapetyan, as well as the executive producer of Junior Eurovision 2021 and 2023, the head of entertainment projects of FRANCE TV Alexandra Red, the executive producer of Eurovision 2023 held in England, BBC producer Lee Smitharst, Junior Eurovision 2019 and 2020 executive producer Marta Pikarska and executive producer of Eurovision 2018 in Portugal Carla Bugallo, producer of the Portuguese music festival "Festival de Canção."
