Armenia will not participate in the "Slavyansky Bazaar" international competition to be held in Belarus

Based on the Prime Minister of Armenia's announcement about ending official relations with Belarus, the official Armenian delegation for the "Slavyansky Bazaar 2024" competition has decided not to participate. The event is scheduled to occur in Belarus from July 8-18 this year. This decision was communicated by the Yerevan Charles Aznavour State College of Culture and Art.

"All peoples of the world are united by one language—culture, so it is impossible not to appreciate the Armenian-Belarusian cultural relations created over the years. We hope that the political tussle created will be resolved shortly through love and solidarity, and friendly relations between the two peoples will continue," the message said.

Armenian representatives at this year's "Slavyanski Bazar" competition were singer Suzanna Melkonyan, a winner of many competitions, and 9-year-old Yana Stepanyan.
