The Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the decision to create the "Artashat Capital" historical and cultural reserve, by which the budget area was set at 5.8 hectares.
The creation of the "Artashat Capital" historical and cultural reserve is because it is a monument of republican significance and is included in the state list. The area needed for the account is considered state property. There are monuments of republican importance in that area, particularly the Artashat capital (II century BC - IV century AD), built by the Armenian king Artashes in BC. 180-170s. And it was named after him, Artashat.
The creation of the reserve fully complies with the requirements of the RA Law "On the Protection and Use of Immovable Monuments of History and Culture and Historical Environment," as it is created around the historical environment and monuments.
The creation of the reserve will not result in an additional financial obligation. Its further preservation and operation will be carried out at the expense of extra-budgetary funds from "Historical-Cultural Reserve Museums and Historical Environment Protection Service."
