Structures and monuments of historical and cultural value have received the status of newly discovered monuments

The first session of this year's RA MESCS Ministry expert committee was held. At the meeting, the status of a newly discovered monument was given to the following buildings of historical and cultural value: the "Cadastre Committee Building" in the Kentron administrative district of Yerevan city, the tombstones "Melik Manuchar" and "Grigor" of Sarukhan village of Gegharkunik region, "Dambaranasht" of Vardanidzor village of Syunik region and "Khoyatapan changhuli" of Saravan village of Vayots Dzor region. 

The meeting also discussed the issue of giving consent to the projects of the conservation zones of 28 monuments. Among them are the tasks of conservation zones of such vital monuments of history and culture, such as "St. Astsvatsatsin" (IV-VI centuries, rebuilt X-XIV centuries) and "St. century) churches, the church complex of Noragavt St. Gevorg (Tsiranovor St. Gevorg) (IV-VII centuries, XIII-XVII centuries) church complex of Shengavit administrative district, the "Veratznund" memorial (1980) of Charentsavan city of the Kotayk region and Voghjaberd village "Charentsi Kamar" monument (1957), "Vasakaberd" fortress (V century) of Hatsavan village, Syunik region, etc.

According to the established procedure, these zones will be sent to the agreement of community leaders and state bodies of territorial administration. A positive conclusion was given to the issue of putting the Getahovit-1 and Getahovit-2 cave dwellings and adjacent areas in the administrative area of Yenokavan village of Tavush region, RA, into use.
