With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia is touring the United Kingdom. In 2023, the 120th anniversary of the great Armenian composer Aram Khachatryan is celebrated, and the anniversary events dedicated to Aram Khachatryan's 120th birthday are marked with the performances of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.
The concert tour started on February 13. the first performances, under the direction of the orchestra's artistic director and chief conductor Sergey Smbatyan, took place in Manchester, Cambridge. The tour includes ten concerts. They will also take place in prestigious concert halls in London, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Birmingham, and other cities in Great Britain. Note that the tickets for most of the concerts were sold out months ago.
The core of the concert programs is the most famous and influential samples of Khachatryan's compositional treasury. The double set includes the Violin Concerto and excerpts from the ballets "Spartacus" and "Gaiane." Renowned British violinists Jennifer Pike and Chloe Hanslip perform as soloists with the orchestra.

Discussions are held before the concerts, during which the conductor Sergey Smbatyan presents the composer's heritage of Aram Khachatryan and the Armenian performing arts. Individuals and charitable organizations also supported the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra's tour in the United Kingdom.
