A monument to the world-famous conductor Ohan Duryan was opened in Yerevan's Freedom Square. The honor of opening it was assigned to Duryan's widow, Alice Duryan, and the famous doctor Vahan Vardapetyan.
RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, MESCS Minister Vahram Dumanyan, and others attended the event.
In his speech, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that placing Ohan Duryan's statue in Freedom Square was unexpected for him. According to Pashinyan, Ohan Duryan in Freedom Square emphasizes the presence of many partners.
It should be noted that this year was the 100th anniversary of Ohan Durian.
